Google AdSense: From Rejection to Approval! 5 Effective Improvement Tips

After posting over 100 articles on this site (DAD UNION), I applied for Google AdSense around February 2021. However, I received an email stating that the site did not meet the eligibility requirements and was rejected.

Google AdSense Rejection Email

For many bloggers, applying for Google AdSense is a major goal when running a blog. However, approval doesn’t always come instantly.
Based on my own experience, I’ll share 5 steps I took to get my Google AdSense application approved.

Setting Up a “Contact” Form

Since the site didn’t have a contact form, I created a “Contact” page so visitors could get in touch directly. I used the WordPress plugin “Contact Form 7” to set up the form.
You can find a detailed guide in this article:

Adding a “Privacy Policy” Page

To display ads on the site, it’s important to clearly state how user information is handled.
So I added a new “Privacy Policy” page.
The content was customized based on templates available online to match the nature of this site.

Adding a “Legal Notice (Disclaimer)” Page

Similar to the privacy policy, I added a “Legal Notice (Disclaimer)” page.
This is to display legally required information when conducting commercial activity through the site.
Although I could have merged this with the privacy policy, I chose to separate it for clarity.

Adding “Operator” Information

Many individual bloggers hesitate to post personal information (I was the same),
but most sites that passed the Google AdSense review included clear info about the site owner or operator.
Since I recently created a portfolio site,
I added a link in this article:
Created Portfolio Site: YOU1TECH“,
and updated the “About Me” page to include:
Operated by: YOU1TECH.

Continue Posting Articles

This may be obvious, but I continued updating the site.
I posted about 2 articles per week and also updated older articles.

Received the “Congratulations, Your AdSense Account Is Now Active!” Email

In April 2022, I applied again for Google AdSense and finally received the approval email:
“Congratulations, Your AdSense Account Is Now Active!”

By the way, I haven’t added Google AdSense ads to the site yet, but plan to do so soon.

Conclusion

Getting approved for Google AdSense requires several improvements to enhance site quality.
I hope my experience can be helpful for others aiming for approval.
