Even though I’m nearly a beginner with little camping experience, I was able to mentally and physically refresh in this natural environment, so I’d like to share the details here.

Remote Work Engineer’s Camping Experience at BOSCO Auto Camp Base

This time, I rented an auto camping site where you can drive your car directly in.

Being able to bring the car directly to the site made transporting camping gear easy, which is ideal for beginners. Though it’s hard to prepare all the gear from scratch, this place has everything you need. After setting up the tent and tarp, I got started on the bonfire and camp cooking.

As someone living mainly through remote work, spending most of my time facing a desk and monitor, I felt genuinely refreshed through camping—and it gave me renewed motivation for work.

Grilling Meat & Toasting with Beer and Sour

When it comes to camping, grilling meat is a must.

This time was no exception—grilling meat on the fire pit and toasting with beer and sour. Using a fire pit made it easy to manage the flame, and since open fires are prohibited, it was safe to use. Sharing a meal around the fire surrounded by nature really helped me forget the stress of desk work—a truly blissful moment.

Ajillo and Highball Time

Ajillo is a perfect camp snack that enhances the nighttime mood. It’s stylish, easy to make, and instantly boosts the camping atmosphere. The sizzling seafood and mushrooms pair perfectly with the fizzy refreshment of a highball.

The ingredients are simple and quick to prepare:

  • Ajillo seasoning
  • Olive oil
  • Frozen seafood mix
  • Black mushrooms

Just mix the seasoning into the olive oil and simmer the seafood and mushrooms. It’s a perfect dish for twilight at camp and pairs wonderfully with highballs in nature.

Rich & Savory “Chikuwa Yukhoe”

Next is the visually impressive and easy-to-make “Chikuwa Yukhoe.” This dish is ready in no time—just mix the ingredients! The rich BBQ sauce and the aroma of Korean seaweed bring out the richness of the egg yolk. It’s truly a classic camp snack.

  • Chikuwa (fish cake)
  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds
  • BBQ sauce
  • Korean seaweed
  • Sesame oil
  • A little chicken soup stock
  • Egg yolk

Since it’s just mixing to taste, you can customize it freely. With its bold flavor, it’s the perfect match for drinks!

Perfect with Beer! Cucumber + Shio-Kombu + Tuna Quick Snack

Lastly, a simple yet flavorful recipe combining cucumber, salted kelp, and canned tuna. The crunchy cucumber, rich tuna, and umami of shio-kombu make a perfect pairing for beer. Add a dash of sesame oil for extra aroma.

  • Cucumber
  • Shio-kombu (salted kelp)
  • Canned tuna
  • Sesame oil

It’s a super simple cut-and-mix recipe, but the flavor and saltiness are addictive.

Experience Review at BOSCO Auto Camp Base

Camping at BOSCO Auto Camp Base was all about relaxing and refreshing. The spacious auto camping site is located along a river, offering beautiful natural scenery. Hearing the murmur of clear water while setting up camp was a liberating experience—so different from regular desk work.

Facilities are well-maintained, and even beginners can feel at ease. There are clean restrooms, wash areas, and a place to dispose of charcoal nearby, so there’s nothing inconvenient. You can also drive your car right to the site, making unloading easy for first-timers. Plus, you can buy firewood at the reception, reducing the hassle of pre-camp preparation—a great bonus.

For engineers often stuck at home working remotely, I strongly recommend experiencing a moment of peace at this nature-rich campground. Being in a different environment can clear your mind and refresh your spirit. Please give it a try and take a break from your busy daily life.

Summary

Through this camping experience, I was able to heal the fatigue from remote work and recharge with new energy. Breathing in the fresh outdoor air and hearing the sounds of nature offered a new perspective and helped reset my mind.

Even if you’re a camping beginner, BOSCO Auto Camp Base offers a great opportunity to relax and refresh. Why not spend your next weekend there and enjoy some time away?
