How to Enjoy Camping at Kitagawa Camping Base

All the campsites were located on wooden decks built on the slope of a mountain, and you could drive your car directly to the camping area.
We drove to the campsite, made a bonfire beside the wooden deck, set up our tent and tarp, grilled meat over the fire, and enjoyed some drinks.

Relaxing Time Merging with Nature

At the wooden deck sites, you can cook over a bonfire and spend a relaxing time under the stars with a beer in hand. I used this time to think of new ideas during breaks from remote work. Refreshing in nature is essential for engineers.

Bonfire and Outdoor Cooking

The meat grilled over the fire and the rice cooked in a mess tin were absolutely delicious. Especially the rice had a crispy bottom layer that added a savory flavor.

Why It’s Recommended for Engineers

1. A New Style of Remote Work

Working in nature away from your daily routine is a great way to gain a fresh perspective. With power-equipped sites and portable Wi-Fi routers, you can balance both work and leisure.

2. Great for Team Building

It’s also recommended to visit with your engineering team. Sharing extraordinary experiences through camping can enhance team unity.

3. Quiet Time to Enjoy at Your Own Pace

Camping in nature offers luxurious time to spend at your own pace. Time spent in silence thinking can bring new inspiration to your long engineering career.

My Experience Camping at Kitagawa Camping Base

Although I mostly spent my time drinking, the auto campsite where I stayed was set up on a wooden deck built on a mountain slope. At night, the deck was beautifully lit up. There were toilets and sinks nearby, making it very convenient. The deck was also clean, which makes it ideal for families and female campers—highly recommended.
You could also purchase draft beer, so for remote-working engineers or long-time coders who love alcohol and tend to stay home, this place is highly recommended—please give it a try.
